It's been two weeks since we moved the store in preparation for the new store build and things are moving right along!
With the footings being pour and completed the previous week, prep work for the concrete slab to be poured takes center stage in this update.
As you can see in the picture above, the store's footprint will have the main store floor which is located on the north side of the building (closest to the current store). This is where we will have all of our delicious beef products on display for your shopping connivence! The boards that are running across in the picture will be where the wall is separating the shopping floor from our back room. The back room will feature a walk in freezer, extra storage and a RESTROOM! This may not seem like a big deal to most but it IS a big deal to our amazing employees. While they are ever grateful to at least have a port a pot, they are extremely excited about this upgrade!
After prepping for the cement pouring most of last week, Monday morning was the day the cement truck rolled in the driveway. Rebar was laid out and in no time at all the cement was flowing and the construction men were smoothing it out.
The concrete for the store main floor was completed by the end of the day Monday with the hopes of the back room concrete to be poured on Tuesday, weather permitting.
What will it look like?
So what is the store actually going to look like? Well, here's a computer generated exterior look of the store from all angles.
As you can see, the color will remain the same. The entrance will be on the east side of the building and on the front unlike the entrance on the old building. The entrance driveways will remain the same with the northern most drive being our main entrance for the store.
